Adam`s now selling stuff from China?

Detailing Gnosis
Did I miss something? I see Adam`s now selling their new Swirl Killer polisher is clearly saying Made in China.

I`m sure that`s why they are charging the prices they are. At least they are being up front about where it`s made instead of not disclosing it.

seen a picture of the mini polisher being the exact model of a "max shine"? brand. its a nice price but i doubt any pros would want to use it

I got news for you guys, most things are made in China. Even if they are assembled in another country, a high % of the parts to make the product still comes from China. We have a car parts manufacture in our area, the parts all come from China or Mexico and they put into a box they make here in the U.S. and have a label on the box made in U.S.A. It is so disappointing that they can do that!

GG polishers come from China, and I bet a lot of Rupes and Flex parts come from China also. Along with a lot of other detail products and tools that PBMG sells come from China, so I don`t see why it`s that big of a deal for Adams to do it.

How silly! A lot of pro`s used only PC,s for years and got away from the rotary. Then the GG6 was the tool of choice because it offered a good step up from the PC in power when it come out several years later. Lets not guess about the Max Shine made mini, wait till someone reviews the Rupes and Adams mini`s side by side with an honest review before we come to conclusions.

Im sure the Adams mini will work fine but will it have the same smoothness or quality? doubt it. If this was the case, the Max Shine machine would have taken over the industry already.

Adam has a video circa about a year ago explaining its just not smart business in today`s economy to not include china made products.

To to be fair about the rebranding, let`s be honest, I`m sure the list is very short in the detailing industry of who makes ALL of their own products. Does PBMG or Poorboys have their own microfiber factories, or do a lot of them come out of the few same factories with different tags? Nobody is going to tell you, because it takes away from their own branding.

True. But don`t make silly advertising statements saying you don`t sell stuff made overseas - only `Merica; than proceed to sell polishes from China, polishers from Germany, and towels from Korea only a year or two later.

It would be like if I opened a restaurant selling only bacon double cheeseburgers and fries and claimed It was diet food.

There is nothing wrong with purchasing items manufactured overseas - and most people know that...

The lolz factor is when someone purports themselves to be a "better" / more responsible retailer for not selling such items - and then turns around and sells such items.

Yeah I know where they come from, I import many items from China. I just got the Adams mini but haven`t put it through it`s paces yet. The little bit I did try it out the polisher was smooth and powerful, and feels like a quality machine. Have you tried the MaxShine or Adams mini?

Who made the silly advertising statements saying you don`t sell stuff made overseas - only `Merica; ? Was it Adams? I am no Adams fan boy, the mini was the first thing I have bought from them. If your talking about the car parts manufacturer I mentioned, I hate what they do! Yeah the packaging is made here but it`s misleading because the parts are not!

My comment was they had gone to great lengths to not sell products from China for so many years (foam gun, porter cable, Flex, etc) with patriotic zeal. They went the Cyclo route - not one of the popular choices for a beginner machine -- before finally selling Rupes. I think they are making the best business decision.

Thank you for the info. I guess I haven`t paid much attention to Adams and their products much before being directed to the new mini on their site.

Donald stays upset. Are Harbor Freight polishers made in China? Aren`t Buicks being made in China now too? Come to think of it I may be the only thing in my house made in the USA. Lol.
