Well, it has finally happened to me. My '05 TL dashboard is showing the outline of the airbag. I have looked into this and talked to people. Everybody's answer including Acura is to thoroughly clean the dashboard and treat it with protectant since it is really just one of the plasticizers leaching out. My question goes out to the TL owners or detailers who have succesfully dealt with this. Acura recommends cleaning with Acura Spray Cleaner (of course). I have to imagine there is something equal or better that I already have. I was wondering what others have used (Woolite/water, Meguairs vinyl cleaner, etc.). I also have some Griot's Interior Cleaner that works very well for other things. I just don't want to use something too agressive or not agressive enough to deal with this.

I have an '04 TL and I use 10:1 water/Woolite mix to clean the dash. So far, I've never seen it leave any residue.

I remember reading about this on acurazine......The only thing that hid the problem were the high gloss oily dressings. Insist on having the panel replaced.

We have it on our 05 as well. Honestly, it didn't bother me that much. I can certainly see how it could bother others though, so I think if it is important to you, they SHOULD replace it. our acura dealer would, it's just not worth the hassle to me.

Never seen the problem, but on an '05 i would request a dealer intervention. It is'nt going to get better with time.
