Lately I've been greatly inspired by Motor Trend/Car & Driver's automotive photography, as well a couple members on this forum I decided to get some nice shots of my car. I think the only time I posted pictures of my car was when I purchased it, which was over a year ago, so I figured I'd "hone" my photoskills(lol) and give a stab at automotive photography. Since it's all about the light and your background; I had a hard time finding the perfect location. I had taken two previous sets (earlier that morning and the previous night), and I wasn't happy with either set. These five are my favorites from the group. I had to take different exposures of the same shot since I don't have any graduated neutral density filters and didn't want to under/over expose part of the photo. This was probably the most PP I've done so far, which isn't saying a lot, but I'm already learning something new everytime I use it. I know there are a couple things I could have done better, both before and after taking the shots, but I'm pretty happy with my results.
Both vehicles we're wiped down with Poorboy's Spray & Wipe 20 minutes prior to the shoot. My car was waxed with Poorboy's Polish w/ Carnuaba (Blue) about a week ago, and the bike has had #21 on it for around a month.
