The first car is an Acura MDX

Process:

Wash Optimum car wash

45 hours removing Hain Damage!

Cyclo with Poli-Seal

Light Interior detail with Vapor Steamer

Opti Bond on Tires

I offer a mini detail with every Hail Repair at NC.





Some may not now that I am a PDR tech as well as a detailer

I have done some bad hail cars but this was the worst for me.

The car looked like a Golf Ball. The damage was on the Roof, Hood, entire drivers side and the back hatch.















The King Ranch was very dirty inside. Out side was not that bad.

Process:

Wash Optimum Car wash

Cyclo with Poli-Seal and Orange pads

Opti-Seal X1

Tires Opti-Bond



Interior was Vapor steamed

Carpets and mats were vapor steamed and then extracted.

Seats were treated with Dura gloss leather conditioner. Soaked up almost 1/2 the bottle.

We spent 15 mints just removing personal items from the Truck.

The guy is a Landscaper and told me he dosn't use the truckfor work. Yeah Right!



No outside shots It was raining after we finished. Infact We moved it out a at one point and had to move it back in This is why the break pedal and gas pedal have dirt on them.

I didn't wipe them off till we were completely done.

This was the second car I have done for this customer. It sure has helped during all the rain!

We are still detailing but not as much as we should and it's hard to take good pictures in side.
 
Ive had a few dings removed by a guy here in town who works at all the dealerships...while he did ok, I can still tell from certain angles that there is still a couple low spots. Those dont bother me so much, because you can almost not tell, but the one where a small portable/wheeled trash can fell over on my car during a wind storm there is still a good bit of wave left to it. I want to get the rest of it removed. This guy knows im pretty anal but I wonder if he really could do better or if he just feels like he isnt charging enough to justify perfection. How perfect can you typically get most dings out?
 
Wow, what a mess! We've had some dreadful weather here in UK over the last week but hail only marble sized. Ouch 45 hours is a long old job, that's got to hurt in the clients pocket!
 
Shoot, those hail dents are nothing...I don't know if I have any pictures of my old car, but we had a freak hailstorm a few years ago, with golf ball-sized hail. Everyone at my work had 150-200 hail dents. There were roving PDR guys from Texas, St. Louis...the other was from OK or somewhere, they were camped out up here in various places for MONTHS taking car of all the cars in the path. Hit a few dealers, too. The PDR quote I got was about 2K, one guy got his car totaled by the ins. co. over it. I'm going to guess that 45 hours of your time is a bunch more than $2K.

If you can still see the repair maybe the guy is not cross checking his work.

He could also not be trimming his board or light far enough back. Hard for me to judge not being able to see it.

I wish this car had only 150 hits.

The biggest problem was glue pulling the areas you cant get a tool on. There were a lot of these areas. The tops of the doors were a pain in the butt!

600 hits! It didn't look any worse in the pics than the cars I was talking about...hmm...I never actually counted the ones on my car, the 150-200 was a guess. Most of the cars are fixed or gone, there is one that I can think of that I could count, out of curiosity (we almost never get hail here, I only remember it once before, although the past several years we have had it a few more times).



Anyway, nice job! Did their insurance pay for that?
 
It's hard to photograph hail dents. The big ones show up well. The small ones don't.



These people purchased the car new with the damage from the dealer. The dealer reduced the price close to 10,000. The average repair cost for cars from this dealer were running around 3000.00 It needed the roof rail to be Body shopped to get it 100%



It's funny how the customers are just as excited to have the card detail as well as have the dents removed.
