Accidentaly debadged my cabriolet

I was taping off the badge so I wouldnt dink it up while detailing the car(need DA.. so much easier).. and I went to adjust the tape and the "3" came off and then the "2" and "0".. The E came off with out an issue. 100% completely not intended



I might as well follow through since it might look cool if not it will be clean for me to stick the badges back on.



So this is what is left

How in the world do I get the rest off? It wont come off with acetone or goo gone.I've been careful with the aceton as well.
 
is it residue? if so try a clay bar. if not try some polish. would not be surprised if the color doesn't match as they would have faded (changed) color at a different rate. When I took the dealer sticker off the truck it left a slight ghost effect.
 
I have a product called "eradikator plus" from my local distributer in New lenox.

I Basically pour some on a rag ant apply, wait about a half a minute, and wipe any residue off. There may be similar product out there.



My next best bet is to clay with a more heavier grade, ant then compound with wool the rest off
 
Just take a compound, towel and elbow grease - I did it for a client yesterday from underneath the licence plate. It will come off. Polish afterwards.

Yep.......



I used a small piece of phenolic with some Goo-Gone and compound with a cotton sock and elbow grease to get most of it removed a couple of weeks ago on my DD. I'll polish the rest out with 105 and a PC when the weather gets better.....

Clean the area off really well - maybe apply APC via a brush, then work in swirlx; if that doesn't work, move on to scratchx and then UC.



Start least abrasive first is the idea.



Make sure you rub the product in really well, as you might have to do a couple of passes.
 
alright I'll try that. I've been meaning to order some megs APC since simple green smells weird(did save my rear carpets after the OEM floormats left a weird stain)

if you want local, Simple Green HD (or PRO maybe? available at Home Depot or Lowe's) did really well for me, both interior and under the hood, but if you don't mind ordering, I suggest Meg's APC+.



I ordered the "sampler" size from autodetailingsolutions.net, 32oz of pure concentrate with labeled spray bottle and spray nozzle, just move to new container and then portion it back into the sprayer with water. shipping from ADS is a little steep for a single product, but if you're planning on purchasing 3+ items it is really reasonable.
 
I was going to get some Meg's APC.. Autogeek is based out of FL and I usually spend enough to get free shipping(damn sales tax)



but anyways



tried what you all suggested earlier and nothing touched it. I think the paint is chemically burned
