Accidentally washed my MF 'drying' towel with detergent w/fabric softener...

.. Yep! My wife changed brands. And; I didn't realize it until after I washed my large Vroom MF drying towel. The good thing is; it's the only MF that go washed with this detergent.

If I rewash with a non-fabric softener detergent (such as ALL), all should be good again; correct?

What brand of detergent do you guys use for your MF, and other car towels?

You can always wash it again and see if it streaks when using it. That is the only real concern for using a fabric softener. If it doesn't streak then you are ok.

I just use normal Tide. Nothing too special. I'm going to get some microfiber wash with my next order of towels though so I can see what the difference is.

AGR, that towel is ruined. Send it to me and I'll handle the disposal.

J/K :D

Re-wash and double rinse using vinegar in at least one of the two rinses. The towel should recover nicely. Of course you could tell your wife that you are just going to have to go and buy a replacement to correct her error. Two drying towels are better than one

I use either Micro-Restore or Charlies Soap.

I too, use Micro-restore and am favorably impressed with it. Methinks just wash that towel again with no FS and it'll be fine. I also agree you need at least two drying towels so explain to your wife that you read on Detail City that you need at least six. You know she'll oppose that idea and let you order two more, so now you'll have three!!!!!!!!!
