Abrasiveness of 3M SMR and ColorX

I would not use either of those, I would use 3M PI-III machine glaze, but out of those 2 the 3M SMR would be better. If you work in the fine cut propely, you probably won't need a second polish though.

Can I use 3m PI/III with an orbital buffer (those sears craftman)? If so, which would be better, the blue applicator pad or the terry pad? I currently use 3mSMR for black cars and havent had a problem, only that it doesnt remove all swirls, but it did a good job considering how many I had.

This summer Ill get a PC, I would bet that is easier to use considering the smaller size pad.

VaporeOn,

I use Perfect it III Machine Glaze by hand and it works great. It works great with the PC to. Never used the orbital your talking about, but if a product works well by hand you should be able to use it with an orbital. The orbital is really just a fast hand.
