How does the IP/ FP compare to like 3M Fine Cut Rubbing Compound/ 3M Machine Glaze combo I currently use.



I have a PC btw.
 
..to work with but probably not enough action if you are dealing with any sort of serious scratches.



The 1Z Cockpit spray is also on my list of things to order next. 1Z has some really fine products...that's the problem!!! There are TOO many fine products to choose from. :mad:
 
I use the menzerna twins on my black B5.5 with a cordless buffer and they werked great and were nice to prep a base for the Zaino. I now have a PC and did use the FP on a Accord hood with cat scratches and it was fine.. I like it because there is no oils/fillers so what you see is what you get and water based so cleanup is easy.



BTW I am not that impreseed with the 303 I find it a dust magnet.
 
I've only used the European version of Menzerna FP (thanks again, jgv) and have found it to be a first rate product. A very clear and deep looking glaze.
 
Scott, I know that you use CK VM. Do you have a problem staining the trims? Do you have any procedure to prevent this? I like the product very much but I notice the trims having a white residue.

I've never had a problem with VM staining trim. In fact, I use it on smooth plastic trim to clean and shine it. CMW might stain trim since it has a carnauba content but I haven't really noticed any problem...however, I try to keep waxes off the trim when I work.
