About to get a PC, a few questions

About to order a PC, tell me if this is what I should get:

One 6 inch Velcro Back-up Plate

One 6 inch Lambswool Compounding Pad for leveling very rough surfaces (the Lambswool pad is also used as a cushion under the

terry bonnets)

One Yellow Cutting Pad for leveling and restoring older, oxidized finishes

Our DM-KIT includes a

6 inch Back-up Plate.



Two white polishing pads to maximize gloss.

One gray finishing pad for producing an ultra high gloss with your favorite liquid wax or protectant.

Two 6 inch terry bonnets for buffing.

I received my PC yesterday. I followed the advice in this forum and purchased my PC from CoastalTools (PC 7424 + PC 6" backing plate and weight) for $119 + $7.50 S&H. Very good experience (read communication via E-mail).



Bought 6 pads (Lake Country) for $45 + S&H from TOL. Nice people there also. FYI white polishing pads are on back order. They shipped the (2) yellow and (2) grey pads. I'm not sure when the backorder situation will be resolved.



I went Friday and picked up the only Meguiar's polishing pad W8006 that the paint store had in stock.



I'm ready to go, but now it could be raining for the better part of the weekend.
 
Get the kit from Costal, add pads and be ready to go. One place, one buy and no confusion.
 
LouisanaJeeper- I myself wouldn't get the terry bonnets. If you want to try product-removal-by-PC, I'd get the MF bonnets. For the final buffing of sealants, CMA's THE MAX suede-style MF bonnets work pretty well.
