AA on tires?

I laways use z-16 on my tires but have just recently bought an H2. Those tires and wells are massive. Using AA will much more cost effective, Will AA brown or degrade the tires? I havent seen too many posts with you guys using AA on tires any more, mostly Megs and boutique products.

AA has been around a long time (more than others) and they're just as good as anything out there these days, imo. they must be doing something right. i personally like their tire foam.

From 2000-2004 I used AA exclusively on my 2000 Honda Accord's tires with no "browning","drying" or "cracking" at all. AA always produced the look I prefer on tires. Now, I use Z16,WG & the Chemical Guy's dressings on my New 05 Tacoma's tires. Chemical Guy's has a nice dressing lineup at great prices.( no.....I'm not a CG Zealot......I'm just really pleased with their products. )

I use AA original on a lot of stuff, and love it. No problems other than that it doesn't last that long on tires.

I've found that I need to put AA on the tires after every wash, but I would anyways, so it's no big deal to me. I haven't seen it brown anything as of yet, seems to work really well and it's relatively cheap. I'd say go for it.

I agree, The H2 will be outside, so a weekly wash will usually be in order. And AA on the tires and wells!!!

Thanks guys for the reassurance, just went out and bought the Sams club 2 packs of AA. Cheap enough where I can use it on the tires and wells liberly and not have to check the wallet for new tire product. I can put the savings towards gas for the new Beast!! :o

Intercooled - I use AA on lots of tires (and wells) without any problems. My favorite dressing is Z16, but I find on larger sidewall tires (like the H2) the gloss is a bit high. My favorite dressing on the Hummer tires is Meguiar's Natural Shine.

For the H2, my normal routine is Natural Shine on the tires and trim and AA in the wells.

Thanks Zane!- I have some megs natural shine on the shelf I'll have to give that a whirl on the trim.

It wont run onto the paint after rain or such?

Intercooled,

Congrats on the H2!!!! What color would your new bundle of joy be????? On another note......I miss the Mt. Washington Valley! I used to go up there all the time. I just love North Conway & Jackson. Northern New England is what I miss most since moving from the Boston area here to West texas in Dec. 2002. I gotta get back up there for foliage season this year!!

Yes fun truck!! I think I and the Family are going to head up to North Conway is September just before all the "leaf Lookers" head up. May take the H2 across the Kangamangis!! I love New England Until Winter hits!!!

Ah......I just noticed your new H2 is Stealth Gray Metallic. I guess it helps when I read your sig! lol I used to be one of those "leaf peepers". I love the fall in New England. Although since moving to West Texas I'd gladly trade you the 100+ degree summers for the snow. ( I'm a sick, sick man! It's just the 3 months of freek'n hot summer I don't care for here. ) I'd love to take that new H2 of yours up the Mt. Washington Auto Road. ( oh yeah, baby! ) It is a killer on the brakes, however. Enjoy!!
