Trying to catch up, got 6 weeks worth of details I haven't had time to post.

2012 Audi A6. Owner recently picked this up, realizes his Spider sense should have gone off when the detailer said "we're just finishing up detailing it now" when he picked it up.

Typical dealer work, rotary, wool pad and incompetence.

Sun was in and out all day, plus it was around 100 degrees that afternoon so mostly I was working and not taking pictures. Got a good after, and a couple half 'n half shots that were tough to get due to the angle of the sun-you can see the difference but not as dramatic as it was in person.

Fender compounded, hood not touched:

Half 'n half shots on the trunk lid

ONR Wash, Opti-Raser (mild) to clay

ONR and Optimum Power Clean @ 3:1 to clean wheels and wheel wells

Meguiars M100 using a Meguiars MF cutting pad and my Rupes 21 DA polisher

3D HD Polish using an Optimum MF polishing pad and my Rupes

Optimum Opti-Seal to protect

Armor All on tires/wheel wells

2003 Acura TL. 10 year old car, owner wanted it cleaned up and protected. Headlights were pretty bad, right side already wetsanded and polished:

Both sides done

ONR wash, Optimum Opti-Clay

Meguiars Uni-grit 2000 wet sanding paper for the headlights

Meguiars M100 using a Meguiars MF cutting pad and Rupes on headlights

Optimum Hyper Polish on whole car using an Optimum MF cutting pad and Rupes

Optimum Opti-Lens on headlights

Opti-Seal on paint

Armor All on tires/wheel wells

2004 Honda Accord-my own car. Recently had the power steering hose replaced under recall, the dealer worked me in quickly when I told them it was leaking. They did an okay job cleaning the power steering fluid off where it was hitting the exhaust but that's it. Figured it was a good time to clean it up.

Optimum Power Clean @ 3:1 followed by a power washer

3D Trim Protectant and Meguiars Trim Detailer (spray) on underhood trim and hoses

Not too bad for 133,000 miles!

2006 Infiniti M45. Owner has had this car for about 3 years and for 3 years I've been trying to convince him to go beyond the wash and wax his company was paying for 3-4 times a year and let me get the rotary swirls from the dealer out of the paint that were now also covered with spider swirls since all I do is wash and Opti-Seal it (no polishing). Finally agreed to have it done. I think his company is ending the incentive (don't think the company is doing all that well, down to 3 employees from about 15 a few years ago) so I guess he felt it was time.

Another 100+ day, took a couple pics with my cell phone, I'll have to add in those when I get a chance. For now, just afters. Honestly, one of the reasons for lack of pictures is he was only paying for two steps and I honestly wasn't sure how well it would turn out given how horrible it was to begin with, figured I might be wasting my time. Plus it has a ton of rock hits in the front end and halfway up the hood due to him taking it to construction sites. I do have one good shot on my cell phone that shows how nasty it was.

ONR Wash, Opti-Raser (mild) to clay

Meguiars M100 using a Meguiars MF cutting pad and my Rupes 21 DA polisher

3D HD Polish using an Optimum MF polishing pad and my Rupes

Optimum Opti-Seal to protect

Armor All on tires/wheel wells

Thanks! Weather is fine, used to the heat.

Got the M45 pics off my cellphone...

After M100

After M100 and HD Polish

M100 rocks, much longer work time than #105, more cut, better finish, less dust. No special process, 2-3 pea sized dots on a Meguiars MF cutting pad on hard paints, Optimum MF cutting pad or LC orange foam cutting on softer paints, work with slow, overlapping passes until the defects are gone.

Thank you sir....

I just picked up a bottle last week.

Looking forward to trying it out.

So you see a difference between the Megs MF cutting pad and the Opt MF cutting pad?

Hope to have a Rupes this year.

Meguiars pads are more aggressive.

Scott I notice your using Armorall on the tires and wheel wells ... do you have a compressor? If so PM me and I'll tell you what I been using and its great .. low $$ and works as well as most other water born dressings I have tried.

Don't really have room for a compressor. Use Armor All because its inexpensive, looks good on tires/wheel wells, water based and it doesn't sling. And the applicator I use for dressing tires is great at getting the dressing where I want it without waste. But hit me up, scott@scottwax.com and let me know. Always looking for the next great idea.
