A zaino weekend detail

Regular Customer. Assessed the paint and there were no signficant swirls or scratches. I wanted to go conservative as door panels and fenders were re-painted due to an unfortunate accident. So I chose to go really light and use Pink Moose. Looking back, I should have gone with Optimum 50/50 as Pink Moose was overly light in its cut and the sling was too messy. In the end, everything came out okay. No before pics sorry.

Paint:

QEW wash

Pink Moose via Rotary 1000 rpm LC Black Finishing Pad

z6 wipe down

z5 x 2 zfx

z6 in between

z2 x 2 by hand zfx with z6 in between

z8 x 1

Glass:

z12 - Glass cleaner/polish

Tires:

Poorboys Bold n Bright

I found the z5 enhanced the "red" greatly from the last time I detailed this car.

Here are the Afters:

roadmaster - all in one day .. once you use zfx, you can layer 'em up :D

GSRstilez - the Pink Moose broke down rather quickly with the LC black pad at speed 1000 rpm but the sling was quite bothersome with very very minimal cutting ability. I wanted to go conservative, but not this conservative. If I had gone with FPII, no doubt it would have less sling and slightly more cut and probably overall a better choice of prep. I hope this helps.

I use zaino my self, however i was under the impression that with zfx i can layer upto 3 layers in a 24hour period? Did the fourth layer add more depth or clarity?

thanks

roadmaster - I noticed a significant difference after the 2nd coat of z5. Then at the 2nd coat z2 pro.

KGB - taken from who else but scottwax, is a 50 / 50 mix of clearkote's vanilla moose and red machine glaze. Again, not thrilled over it and won't go back to it via rotary but will for sure with a pc.
