A Simple question is Red a light or dark colour

I have an '01 Tornado Red Wolfsburg edition Jetta. Is this colour considered light or dark for such products as 3M swirl mark remover and Pinnacle Paste Glaz (proper auto care has only for light colour cars as a con). I thinks its a light colour,am I right? does it matter?

Edit: just after I posted this I noticed the note that PPG can streak on red(dark) cars(according to proper autocare).

IMO Red would be considered a dark color.

Would all shades of red be dark? I will probably get pinnacle before the summer is gone and want to get the right one (PPG or Soverign).

Of the 2 you mentioned Souveran would be better on Red.
