A new Paul Dalton video!

Nice video, Mike. Do you know if he has a list of all the different tools and supplies he uses? I know they talked about him using Zymol's waxes the $7k and $10k ones, but that was about it. I saw him using some kind of flashlight to look for swirls and whatnot but couldn't make out what type or brand it could be. Damn this guy is a high roller among detailers. That water sheeting at the end was so sexy.

notice he is using swissvax instead of zymol now

he talked about that over at DW. he said its just what he had that day. He still uses zymol. he had also started his own wax companythat should be out by chirstmas.. one wax is 10,000 pounds...

Nice to see this new video! So I spotted Menzerna and Swissvax, right? Looked like he had to put quite a bit of elbow grease to remove the wax though.

I'm just wondering: who the was the chav in the Bentley???

I dont give two sh!ts about that. Im sick of people oggling over him as if he can perform some miracle, no pun intended. Fact of the matter is there are people here that can do just a good as job.

Yeah? Who here has been paid $5000 for a detail job?

Oggling? no that's not what interests me. I myself have an internet business that has many parallels to the current detailing market. Product markets are being created though out the internet based on hype, promotion with pre ordering expectations. Think about it, the internet has turn every product (i.e.: flashlights, RC modeling, and yes YOYO's hehe) into a detailed discussion on improved features limited editions (collectability) and with an efficient distribution system (internet). Profitable? YES. Notice how many products hit the detailing market in a months time? This is the bread and butter of any online store new improved no one else has. The basic everyday items sales cover the bottom line, new releases turn the corner to profitville! What Paul is doing in not new to me since I've seen it elsewhere and it does WORK! So if your one of the guys tired of Paul Dalton look at it from a different angle your missing out on a opportunity to learn something and maybe you to can profit from it!

I like all the people on here that hate on him because he can charge so much.

Honestly, why are you so upset about that? A great deal of what he charges comes from his clientele. There are plenty of people out there that will pay an exorbitant amount simply to say that they use the same detailer as so-and-so. Part of what they are paying for is his experience. Is he saying that nobody else knows how to work on a Veyron? Of course not. But he has obvious experience in dealing with them, so a lot of Veyron owners take solace in that, and pay him whatever he charges simply because of that experience.

Also, it isn't like people don't charge that here in the US. Ferrari of Beverly Hills has a $10,000+ detail that they offer. They take off the fenders, basically clean the entire car top to bottom. I am sure that is what Paul offers with his "61 Step" detail. It isn't just the parts you can see, it is everything.

So don't hate on the guy because he markets himself to a specific demographic. He picked people that buy $1500 purses and $800 pairs of shoes. Is a Louis Vuitton really that much better than a purse from the mall for $40? Not really...but those people don't care. Is his car wash really that much better than what some of the elite guys here can offer? Probably not...but they aren't marketing themselves like Louis Vuitton...and Paul is.

I have no doubts about that. I just feel that the way that he is marketing himself is top notch. He is obviously getting exposure that others only dream about. His skills are great just like many other forum members here.
