A message to my potential clients - Premium Detailed - Garry Dean - Tampa, FL

I think this was good to do, you made very valid points. You did a great job of putting yourself out there. You do nice work.

One can only hope to expose some of those hacks out there.

Detailing is my passion and I'm gonna let it shine. No pun intended, lol.

I like the fact you did NOT bash every other pro out there but focused on expectations, etc.

Nice editorial about what you should be asking or looking for in your detail. Just bit of advice on the video. It would be helpful to show how to look for buffer marks, swirls, polish hazing, etc. Or film examples of those in the video

Most people have no idea what any of the above look like, much less what lighting or angles to look at to see them.

As for industry standards, I really don't know of any. If anyone has a site that lists then please point me in that direction. Detailing is subjective to each detailer and the expectations of the customer. I've seen plenty of hack jobs that the customer was really happy. Additionally I've seen close to perfect jobs that the customers wasn't satisfied with.

I applaud what you said that going into the detail that the customer and detailer should have a clear understand of what the outcome will be. This way you don't set yourself up for a lose.

It's actually funny you mention that. I cut some of the video out because what I tried to show did not capture the way I had hoped. I will most definitely do a video showing what to look for. Thanks for your two cents.

One thing that I see with posting pics and videos, its really hard to show the paints imperfections. I've tried many times and no success. I did enjoy your video and its informative to those that are looking for s first time detail
