A little premature but I'll ask anyway

I'm fairly new to detailing but have become absolutely addicted (lots of time and LOTS of $$). The folks on this forum are unbelievably knowlegeable. My question, though a bit premature and not applicable to some, is how do you all remove SNOW from the car. Now that I'm paying more attention to the paint finish on my car then to my wife, it occurrs to me that I have no idea how to remove Snow. Living in eastern Pa we will usually get 1 -2 moderate snowfalls per year. Used to be I'd shovel and brush snow off the car. My G-D --- DID I REALLY SAY THAT since now nothing but microfiber ever touches the car. So I ask now while I'm thinking about it. Thanks for all the info you collectively post.

I found out about the SnoBrum here on Autopia a few years ago and have had decent success in not marring the finish with it. It's the only thing I use and I will never go all the way down to the finish with it if I can help it. I go very close but still leave just a thin layer of snow on the paint. I have gone all the way to the finish at times though and have not had any problem but....I live in fear.

Also available at other e-tailers. Just Google it for the best price. I haven't seen it locally. (I am in PA too.).

Welcome and enjoy the addiction!

Would a leaf blower work?

Of course this is coming from a Southerner.... :D

I wish! Not with the heavy snow we have up here in the NE. Some of the light, flaky stuff would likely blow off and that would be great but no dice for most of the snowfall. :nervous:

Move to Dallas. The snow will melt on the way. ;)

We have to deal with more ice than snow here anyway...and maybe hail this afternoon! :nervous2:
