A little DP Sealant Review

I finally had the opportunity to try DP's newly created Sealant on my wife's Red Tracker.. All the thanks to the fantastic staff at Autogeek. I also tried a couple of recently purchased product. WG Swirl Remover, PB's ProPolish(New Formula).
WG Swirl Remover was used w/ a LC Orange Pan@ speed set 5. Product worked well. Their really wasn't anything in particular I was trying to remove. I thought I would see how user friendly it was at application & removal. I was pleased with both. Only ended up using it on half of the jeep because I thought I would save time do to the fact the jeep really doesn't need a swirl remover.
ProPolish was used on the entire vehicle with a LC White Pad@ Speed set 5 to prep the surface.. I was pleased with the results of application & removal.
I then followed up with DP's new Sealant. This is some great stuff! If your at all familiar with WG's Sealant I thought this was a pretty good replica(Not quiet the Same POP). Though an A+ creation. Application & Removal was a breeze. Dried fast. I applied it with a LC Black Pad@ Speed set 3.
I apologize for the dullness of the Vinyl top and trim. That another days work. Trim needs more than a dressing. The pictures aren't to show her car off, more so you can see the results of the above product. Tires and Wells dressed with Meg's NXT. Not my Fav, but I find it holds up well when it rains. Anyway I'm exhausted, I'll let the pictures do the talking now.

I "won" a bottle of the new DP sealant as well. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but hope to this week. Anyway . . . it looks great on your wife's car. I can't wait to try it now.
 
Nice pictures, prep and process. Looks like any product works when you are using it.

The Jeep looks vivid and vibrant!!
 
I'll try and keep you guys updated.
This morning I walked and and their wasn't one drop of dew on the whole jeep. All the other cars including mine had a substantial amount. It's supposed to rain today so I will try and get some beading shots.
 
Alright the 1st shot's are in of the beading action of DP's new sealant. Beading all around the car was quiet nice. We have a decent thunderstorm roll through so there was a substantial down pour. The finish still retained a glossy factor although a little muted, but I think the overcast played a big roll in that. The finish still had a nice shine to it as well.
This isn't BS. My wife call me up today and proceeded to tell me about how shocked the gentle who was changing her oil was. He could not believe that her car was a 99'. The finish just looked to fantastic(his words) to be that old of a car.

I agree! Love hearing that! Real nice work!
 
A little update. It's rained for three days straight and I swear I don't notice any water spots. Slickness as diminished, but we all no what 24hr exposure to the environment here in Fl can do to your finish. Still has a great shine.

Update: I haven't washed her car since I detailed. Still beading nicely. Still hardly see much water spotting. Still has a good shine and gloss factor to it.
 
Lonewolf, i'm thinking about moving to Florida. What product (maybe this one) do you find gives you best results as far as minimizing the water spotting that might be caused by the daily rain storms.
Does it really rain eveery day there? Is it at the same time and how long does it usually last?

We are currently in in the middle of Hurricane season so it rains almost everyday. So far I haven't seen much of any spotting on my wife's car with the DP. My car is black so no matter what I do I can't avoid marks. I HIGHLY recommend you get someplace with a garage to keep your cars. IT will make a world of difference in maintaining your cars.
