A Hopeless Exercise But....

....it sure looks great! If my car wasn't going to spend the next week in the garage, I wouldn't have bothered doing this. But with some nice weather for the next few days and a new jar of Dodo Juice Purple Haze calling to me from the cabinet, I had to do something. As this car is mine, it has been washed properly since day one, it is showing virtually NO signs of swirling and thus, needs no correction. This was basically a strip and protect job.

Process:

Wash using Dawn to strip old sealant
CG Grime Reaper (8:1) used on wheel arches
Clay using Griot's Clay and Speed Shine
One coat of Blackfire Wet Diamond allowed to cure for 45 minutes
One coat of Dodo Juice Purple Haze applied 24 hours after sealant
Wheel arches dressed with Griot's Undercarriage Dressing
Tires dressed with Griot's Tire Dressing
Black plastic trim protected with 303 Aerospace Protectant
Interior was cleaned up but I didn't bother taking pictures of that.

I don't know why but photobucket has been making my pictures look a LOT lighter than they actually are so these don't really do it justice. Trust me...the car looks amazing in person.

Lookin' good!

What ever happened with all those service issues you were having? Did they get everything resolved for you?

Yes they did and we were finally able to solve the A/C cutting out. Turns out my guess was right; the climate control panel itself was to blame so a new one was installed and the issue has not resurfaced.
