A gift for my dad

Like me, my dad is a huge Orioles fan. He took me to the 1983 World Series, Orioles vs Phillies. I was merely a kid but the memory will last a lifetime. Last week I decided to have a custom jersey made for him. I was having trouble coming up with a number, but I think this was appropriate

I told him to come over tonight so I could give him so detailing goodies (which I did). He saw the jersey and my mom said "oh that's great, I bet you'll be wearing that to Spring Training". I told her I wasn't and she called me a fibber. She then asked why I wasn't going to wear it and I said because it's Dad's, he lit up like a kid at Christmas

Very nice. :big ups

Doc, I think I want a son like you. ;)

My Dad and Grandfather made me who I am, they set and lead the greatest example a kid could ever wish for. Growing up I wanted nothing more than to be like my dad and my grampy. When my daughter was born there were already 2 other granddaughters, he chose to be called Grandad for them. When my daughter was born, he told me he was Grampy.

Very cool and thoughtful gift! I decided this year I'm going to follow baseball again. I miss it. Marlins stadium is only about an hour and a half from me and I've never been to the new stadium yet. I plan to change that this year!

Baseball is great, doesn't have to be seen in person. Each summer I make it a point to sit on the deck with the Radio and a glass o lemonade and listen to some games. I did that a lot as a kid, great way to spend an afternoon

I rarely miss a Braves game (on tv) and try to make it to at least one game in Atlanta. We get a new stadium next year so I may take in more games. It is supposed to be a technological wonder. I could care less, I just go for the baseball!
