A good friend of mine got his car keyed this weekend and due to it being the last two weeks of the semester and everything is all due at the same time i cannot get around to fixing it for a couple of weeks, plus all of my tools are back at home. What is the best way to protect the bare metal while it waits to get fixed? i gave the areas a good ipa wipedown and used some painters tape to cover it for his ride home but im pretty sure that shouldnt be on there for two weeks, right?

Picture of the damage on the drivers side (he is a UF student so some clever FSU student thought it would be great to key his car):

Are you planning on repainting it or doing a touch up? Either way it won't matter, because a few weeks of corrosion won't effect anything.

Goto Autozone (or other car place) and buy a cheap tube of touch up paint by duplicolor. Fill it in for now. You can get to correcting it later but keeping the elements off the bare metal is a good idea.
