I have been reading some of the posts regarding the disgust with Klasse/polymer glaze that is left on the car once you remove SG. I have had some success with removing the glaze.



Ok, I am all too familiar with the Klasse Glaze. I have a jet black BMW, and Klasse just loves to stay on the paint. I found a little trick to get it all off, wich gets rid of the "glaze."



First, when I take off the SG, I just take the top layer off with a MF. I go all the way around the car once to get the initial residue off. I then go over the car with a second MF, and concentrate on one area at a time. This really reduces the glaze. Then, when I feel that I have gotten off as much of the glaze as possible (or when my arm is really tired), I move to the final process of getting the glaze off, and putting that final shine on the car.



I used to just AIO and SG the car, but I started using Blitz, and it has done wonders, plus it removes the "glaze." I am not exactly why this happens, but when I put the Blitz on the car, all of the glaze disappears.



This might not work for everyone, but I have had great success with this process.

Don't you mean "haze" as opposed to "glaze". I think %99.9 of the klasse users on this forum know how to fully remove the SG from their car.
 
No I think he is talking about how some of us have a hard time removing the glaze, especially if you do not have two hours to wait for it to fully dry. On my vehicle I always had a hard time without using water or a QD.

SG gets removed when you apply Blitz because of the mild solvents in the wax. Without solvents wax would be hard as a brick.
 
I was not making any assumptions that individuals on this forum do not know how to remove Klasse. I was just sharing my experiense removing the "haze" or "glaze" that often occurs after individuals remove Klasse.

I never implied that you were making assumptions about any individuals. I am the one who is assuming that most people know how to effectively remove KSG. No offense intended to you. Your post was informative and is appreciated.
 
MarylandBimmr, have you found that water doesn't help you remove the SG glaze? It sounds like you get most of it off in your first pass, what about using water (in a spraybottle) in this step.
 
Actually, I do not use water during SG and Blitz removal. I just use the MF's and a good bit of elbow grease. I have found that using a good clean MF gets the SG off much better than with water in a spray bottle. I used QD when I first started SGing the car, but I have found that using elbow grease and a clean MF gets the job done much quicker and with better results.

some Klasse users are more diehard then others :up



my tip if you're going to go that far is to use your breath.



breath on a section to where you can see the SG streaks "light up" and wipe of in a single ever so clean swipe.



It's actually amazing, take a single square foot on your paint try to wipe it using only elbow grease and take another square foot breath on it (don't pass out ;) ) and wipe it off and it's awesome! (comes right off better than straight water without effort or extra water to wipe up)

How many times have i told you people to only use distilled water! Use distilled in your final mouth rinse. But then again, maybe i have magic breath cause I was born on the planet Krypton you know. :D and BTW if your car or towel has an odor to it, you probably should've brushed first. :D
 
I have found the using my MIRACLE FIBER TOOTHBRUSH gives me a more lusterfull shine and prevents gum disease such as turtlewaxitus. It also removes fingerprints from my Tinfoil Hat to reduce the brain wave refraction to the men monitoring from the BLACK HELICOPTERS that spray Armour All
 
I used SG for a mouth wash and I'm a new man! VERY shiny teeth, and nothing sticks to them, so cavities (and nutrition) are no longer worries.



When I applied SG today I left it on for about 20-25 minutes (per Yo' Steve's advice), then wiped it off with MF towels. No haze that I saw, except a couple of small spots that either responded to harder rubbing or my breath.



Finished with a top layer of Meguire's No. 26 liquid. Quite shiny.

The hood has some nice deep etching, the client just wants the swirls removed.

I even boke out the rotary on this one.... :scared:

Used the KBM via the rotary, wool primed w/ M105, about 1000rpm and mist the area with water...

That worked just ok, it seems like I can cut more of the deeper stuff out with KBM: festool, tang pad with 105. Lots o pressure and the festool will not bog down.

You can see the etching in the paint in the after pic here. No final polishing yet.

Dang, it pains me to see such a new model with etching like that! Solid correction so far Bry.

Here's further evidence BMW has firmed up the Jet Black from the previous 2007, early 2008 soft condition. Then again, severe pitting like that?
