After Clay Magic clay bar, Meguiars' #1 cleaner, and Meguiar's #26 Yellow Wax

On the Extang Tonneau Cover, I used Extang's Tonno Tonic. The wheels were cleaned with Meguiar's Cool Wheels spray. The tires were coated with Meguiar's Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Coating.

The detailing was done on Sunday 11/20. It's always garaged.

Morning Bill! No. I didn't Polish. But; I did re-wash the truck after Claying. The #26 is a liquid. I bought it at Autozone. I have heard great things about the NXT Line. I'm going to try some next time.

#26 is really easy to work with, too.

While I'm not Gregg, I thought I would comment.
1. I would polish after I clayed to remove any marring that the clay might have caused. Clay, polish, LSP.
2. Meguiar's #26 is available as a paste or a liquid.

I agree. I do the same thing. Once the car has been clayed then we polish it and wax and man there is a huge difference when you clay.

I asked before I began the procedure, and the general concensus was, if I remember correctly, was not to polish unless there were light scratches or swirls. Anyway; I am quite happy. Marring, didn't occur. I sprayed the hell out of all areas when I clayed. :beer_smil

Maybe; next time, I will do the polish after claying, however. :beer_smil

THANKS........ what about after clay, and polish, and just BEFORE waxing i use the NXT TECH polymer sealer by meg.........?

:innocent:

you can use the NXT before waxing if you are going to be using a carnauba paste wax. NXT is a sealant and sealants don't bond well together. You may want to wait a day to top off the NXT but others haven't and still gotten good results.

For the record book, NXT and #26 come in paste and a liquid version.

YES..... THANKS.... I will be using a carnauba paste wax.......

since i'll be doing all the steps by hand alone, the washing, claying, polishing, sealing and waxing, i may do a complete section everyday...maybe 4 sections.......i'll just have to wash lighty everyday to remove any crap from the past 24 hours......

im not a kid anymore :D
