A couple of black beauties...SLK55 AMG, TT S-Line

Repeat customer, this time with a couple new vehicles :).

Steve is a really great guy to do business with as well as chat with. I probably spent an extra half hour there just chatting cars, business, life, etc. I always enjoy clients like this :).

Anyways, he picked up both vehicles within 3 months ago. Both have under 5k miles, minimal defects, and pretty contaminant free. He likes to keep his vehicles relatively clean, but realized the boundaries, so he usually opts out of heavy polishing and claying unless it really needs it. My finals were identical on either except I used AIO (pre-VOC) to polish the MB and Blackfire Final Polish on the Audi. The MB was absolutely marr-free (thank you Ceramiclear!) The Audi had buffer marring from dealer prep :down. They were:

Interior
-Steam the mats
-Z9 on everything
-Z10 on leather, vinyl, plastic, rubber
-Z6 on aluminum, gauges, windows, etc

Heel wearing through, not a stain

MB didn't come out :(

Exterior
-AIO (pre-VOC) by hand FOR MB
-Blackfire Final Polish via rotary and LC Finessing Pad @ 1200 rpm FOR AUDI
-Z6 wipedown
-Z5 Pro (ZFX'd) on everything

-Z16 on tires
-CD-2 Engine Detailer in wells

Unfortunately it was raining as I was finishing the MB, so I had to pull it in sans the pics. The owners were so happy ("It looks better than the day we picked it [them] up") that they were joking around about renting cars for the next couple weeks to preserve the beauty :D...so I KNEW pulling the MB out for pics was out of the question.

Oh well, two gorgeous cars, nonetheless.

Enjoy!

Gosh, I love black cars. I would expect nothing less than beautiful shots from one of your details. Yet sometimes when one views the pictures of detailers there is a picture that just hits a spot and you do a second look and a third look and then you just go back and stare. The second shot of the Audi in the after pictures is just one of those. I think I am learning the detailing part of caring for vehicles but taking beautiful pictures is, IMHO, another art form that I have yet to master...Master Sean.

I really enjoyed looking at this thread!!!

Thank you :).

cw: I'm no master, but thank you for your generous comments. I will have to say, I really enjoy taking photos and playing around with different settings to see which works out the best.

If you are interested, you should invest in a simple tripod, a couple lense additions/filters/software and just start playing around and learning. It's a nice little pasttime, plus, you could start to make people double take on if it's a professional shot. My girlfriend, Liz, for example, is very critical of my work (haha), but but after this shot

she has taken a new angle to my photography.

97: vag?

Thanks again :).

I'm running out comments, your work is always top notch.
1- Question. Blackfire looks similiar to Zaino,
any opinions or similaritys you can tell us about it ?

What else can I say...amazing work!!!

Sean...what do you use to clean the inner section of the wheel. Do you take the wheels off to clean that part?

O sean, Amazing job on both!! Definatly running out of words to describe your work!

What were the settings, filters, lenses on that large photo at the end? I am going to purchase the lens kit you showed me very soon!!

Greg

joe: The sealants do?

I found them to be pretty different. Blackfire is more deep and wet, Zaino is more bright and wet. BF's durability isn't great, so I stopped using it.

BRUHA: I soaked the wheels in Meguiar's Wheel Brightener 3:1 and used a soapy water solution with a Wal-Mart MF and a lot of patience :). The wheels are relatively new and Mercedes has awesome clear on their wheels (no dust etching like BMW, Saab). They cleaned up rather quickly, believe it or not.

Typically I'd use a spoke brush, but the towel worked better here.

Greg: I can't remember for sure, but I believe it was:

Shutter Mode
Shutter - 2 seconds
Color - Vivid
Superfine Quality
Auto White Balance

UV filter

Thanks again.

Wow! I'd love to have those 2 beauties parked in my garage. The work & photos are TOP notch. The Benz wheels are absolutely killer looking!

That last shot is nice...out of curiosity where was that taken...and whats that white thing in the sky seems to bright to be a plane...UFO perhaps...lol

As for the cars flawless once again.

I thought it looked familiar...I just went by there last week on one of my travels.

Not to keep taking this off topic but what kind of camera do you use?

Just gotta tri pod. How did I live without it?!?!

Make a huge diff and adds consisitency.

Oh yeah.....nice damn work!

WETTT!!!

I was going to say "Westport" for that picture. I was just there on Sunday, my Dad lives in New Canaan.

That "Benzito" is crazy! Is there a anodized blue ring around the center of the brake disc?

Great work as always Sean. I love your camera work. I"m looking to upgrade so I can add lenses and filters to improve my pics.

Sweet Job...Love the Benz. How do you reach the back of the wheel with just a towel? Certainly you arm can't fit through those spokes:)

BTW...I sent you a pm.
