A better way to clay
Claying on top of a wax/sealer does not do as good of a job because some contaminates seem to work it’s way down deep into the wax/sealer which clay can’t remove or has a hard time doing so.
The best way to clay I found is first to remove the build up of wax/sealer or what ever on the surface by gently using just a paint cleaner /w a MF towel until the wax/sealer is removed and wash the car again real quick afterwards.
The purpose of claying is to remove contaminates from the surface and contaminates can be a whole lots of things to name a few metal flakes, brake dust, tar, water spots. Removing the contaminates makes the color consistent though out, makes the reflection better and to makes the paint last longer.
You will notice by removing the wax/sealer first before claying the paint’s color will be much crisper. Polishing will improve because you are not mixing harmful impurities while polishing which will take less time polishing, you don’t have to use two pads per car because it gets all gummed up and your clay bar will last a lot longer.
