New 991 GT3 in a beautiful PTS color of "Arena Red", the last Porsche I did in that color was a 1996 993 Turbo and this color never gets old.

The car had been to the track recently so cone strikes and compound rubber all over the car and in the wheels/wheel wells

During the wash plenty of iron particles being cleaned away.

After the wash/decon steps were carried out it was time to tackle the sanding defects present on the wing and front/rear bumpers. Porsche GT cars are now coming with defects like I see on Ferrari and Aston Martin. Total film build is thick but the top reading is concerning............ care would need to be taken here.

Serious die-back(Paint shrink) was present on the wing as well.

Deep defects.

Rocker marring.

After compounding.

Beautiful color now optimized with gloss.

Lone tar pebbles that survived the wash, removed quickly.

A beautiful sight for those of us who love cars!!.

Interior need little, general wipedown only.

All done...............

That is a beautiful car nice job!

I'm curious, what was the paint shrinking you showed in the above picture?

Was that factory paint, or had someone tried to re-paint and it didn't adhere correctly?

Also was there anything you did to minimize it, or do you just have to leave that stuff alone?

Thank you gentlemen for the comments, the die-back was a factory issue and in fact the Cayman GT4's the entire car is shrunk up pretty badly but a hard cut opens the paint back up and the clarity is restored.

Excellent thread once again! Glad to see the owner uses this car 'properly' and that he has someone to bring it back to life afterwards!
