This car has been sitting for the past 8 months awaiting some serious engine work and water found its way in at some point. I only had a few hours to work on it so this was basically a carpet and upholstery detail, i gave the rest of the interior a quick wipedown but it was far from clean. The after shots came out really blurry as it was already dark and i was in a hurry to get everything put away, but it gives you the general idea. Also, there are plenty of "crumbs" and general debris in the after shots, this is because i forgot to clean the tracks of the seats before i reinstalled them, they don't hold a lot of dirt but when you're struggling to put a seat in a car it goes all over the place. I hope you guys will overlook that one. I'll clean all that up and give the car a good vacuum and try to take some decent after pics.

This is the passenger side rear floor. Believe it or not this pic was AFTER a vacuum, all that stuff is stuck to the carpet, before the vacuum it was mostly a mold growth. After vacuuming that area i decided to pull the seats as there was mold under them, so the toothpick and crumbs are from under the seat.

This is the drivers side rear floor, not as bad as the passenger side, but again most of the stuff you see is stuck to the carpet. All the crumbs came from the tracks of the seats when i pulled them. If you look closely you can see the top of my "detailing hat" in this pic.

This is the passenger side, it's been vacuumed except for the area that the seat covered.

All but one of the afters came out bad, but i'll show them anyway as they give you the general idea. The two pics that are small are that way because they were way too blurry in full size mode.

This car belongs to a family member and i wouldn't have done it if it weren't for that. When a car leaks the carpet gets nasty really quick. Anything that was left in the floor quickly adheres to the carpet. The mold that follows isn't fun either.

That interior carpet would have been replaced if it were mine... What did you use on it?

I used Rubber-Maid carpet/upholstery cleaner from Wal-Mart. It costs $12.95 per gallon and it's concentrated, 5 ounces of the cleaner per gallon of water. It cleans really well, rinses out easily and its cheap. If anybody is interested in trying it out, its in the hardware section with the mops and things like that.

Ugh. That is as bad as anything I have ever seen. You definitely made a huge improvement!

Did you consider repainting the rusted seat tracks?

I did this job for free, so the budget was small. No extras on this one. I was going to vacuum the spots that i missed but the car is already messy again so there is no point. Doesn't take long for the car to be messed up again i guess.

Nice tranformation...I might have to try that Rubbermaid stuff. Thanks

It's good stuff, i would reccomend it over the woolite/water mix as it is low foaming and rinses out much easier.
