96 Impala SS Detailed

too many cars....
Decided to detail my SS a lil bit, didnt spend alot of time on it, prolly a hour, I had a car show so I wanted it to look decent.

I use Meguiars stuff on all my cars, I like their products, I waxed this with NXT, turned out ok.

Well, you weren't exactly very wordy on your process. Not much that can be said about a wash anyway, other than the car looks nice.

What Meg's products have you used on it? What's your polishing/paint protection regimen? What's your wash routine look like?
 
SS looks great man. Make sure you take care of those new wheels. The clearcoat goes bad quickly, but I'm sure you already knew that. I'm actually running some polished stock SS wheels on mine at the moment.

Yeah youre right..
I use Meg's Scratch X stuff on it, then the NXT Wax. I havent polished it yet, I have only had the car about a year and it sits in my shop out back most of the time, and never sees rain or snow. So I rarely wash it, I just maintain its shine, or at least try to :)
Me and my Dad have one of those PC 7424s on order from HD, then I am going to go more extreme on polishing it, thanks for the replys
 
Do you usually do the whole car with the ScratchX by hand? It's a workout isn't it? :) If you like the Meg's stuff, then try picking up some ColorX on it and trying it out. It's probably my favorite over-the-counter polish.
 
yes sir its a work out and waxing too, this isnt a very small car, thanks for the tip I will try some of that colorX sometime soon :)
 
very good so far, I had to replace the waterpump and Optispark (distributor) last August, but thats about it, I know a couple people with over 200k on there cars.
