96 Bronco...What a disaster

M23Accord

Glorified cleaning lady
Here was Saturdays detail, an atrocious Bronco. 4 bald tires, years worth of tar buildup, and check out those scratches!!! They were all over the sides of the truck from scraping against bushes.

Plan of attack
1. Wash and clay
2. SSR3 (worked like a charm, what a great product)
3. Automagic XP
4. Megs #9 (thanks AL-53!)
5. Collinites 845

Other
No.7 Chrome polish
B&B
Megs Paint Cleaner (for the windshield which had some sort of "film" on it. It looked like a hologram!)

Price $200 Outside only

Here we go

AMAZING!!

Like TraderB asked - did you use a rotary or a PC? I just finished an Acura and couldn't touch scratches finer than your's with my PC and SSR3.

Maybe I should try again.

Ready for this........NIETHER :-p See, SSR3 does work by hand. :bigups

Actually, I dont have either at the moment but I did mean to get a PC once I saw this thing. I couldnt get it in time so I had to do it by hand. I was a little nervous at first but the truck responded VERY well to all the products I used. I am getting a PC though to cut down on time mainly.

You could probably step down to SSR2 with a PC and firm pad. Your way of life will change when the PC arrives! These are bloody GREAT!! Oh yeah, top job!

What did you use to remove that stubborn tar.

Carb&Choke Cleaner. Works great. I dont know anything else that could have even dented this stuff. The tar was as hard as a rock

Bronco looks great M23accord!!:bigups I do have one question though if you could help me. As I understand the ssr3 has diminishing abrasives in it but i thought you at least had to have a pc to break them down...so either youve got really fast hands or I'm not understanding something right. Again awesome job and tia for any info on this

skifreak: Yes, the SSR3 has the diminishing abrasives and they do wear out by hand, quite easily actually.

shotime: XP Polish. I love this stuff. It could be a tad more abrasive though. Sometimes I just have to go over a spot 2 or 3 times to get the result I want. But all in all, excellent.

Unreal: On the wheels was Meg's Paint Cleaner and real quick with the Collinites 845. I used No.7 Chrome Polish on the center caps. The stuff costs $1.82 but works killer.

Everyone: Thanks very much for your compliments. I appreciate them.
