95 Vert Mustang, What type of top?

Hello everyone,

I just bought my 95 Vert Mustang GT and was curious as to what the top is made out of? I saw something that listed all the various types of tops for cars, and it said the Mustang always have had vinyl tops? But to me it feel like a canvas type top? Am I just crazy? It just doesn't feel like a vinyl material? The reason I am asking is because i'm getting ready to order some convertible top cleaner and conditioner and don't want to order the wrong stuff. I have never had a vert before, so I don't know anything about them. Appreciate any help you guys can offer.

Many vinyl tops have a âہ“wovenâ€Â� texture or pattern to them. A âہ“canvasâ€Â� top will also have a lush, fibrous feel and âہ“napâ€Â�. Inspected closely with a magnifier youâ€â„¢ll see that the threads are indeed woven rather than molded.

Thanks everyone. I was like this stuff looks like heavyduty canvas to me and feels really thick unlike what I would figure vinyl would feel like. 94blkstang, any recommendations on cleaner/protectant for the top? Also is there a certain type of brush to use on it? I'm not sure if the top has been replaced or not, but it's in awesome condition for the car being 10 years old.
