Car is a 1994 Bentley Brooklands Long Wheel Base in a dark green with roughly 40ish thousand miles. Has had some panels repainted at one point and the car overall needed some good amount of polishing. The paint was pretty hard and the hood and trunk had some major pitting and etching. I basically had my work cut out for me.

Process:

Spot Clayed where needed.

EC with Foamed wool @ 1500rpms x 2 (Hood and Trunk x3)

Menz SIP with White Polish Pad @ 1500rpms

Menz 106FF with Blue Finesse pad @ 1500rpms

Re-Washed

Zymol Destiny

Interior cleaned with Pristine Clean and treated with Z10. Vacuumed and windows cleaned.

Total detail took about 13-14 hours.

PICS!!

In this pic I accidently smudged the rear bumper in photoshop. I use the smuge feature to blank out license plates and must have dragged the mouse over this pic before I save it...oops! :)

01bluecls- Great job on a neat car (I really love the Bentleys from that era, back when they were still partnered with RR).

That was some serious marring you were dealing with too!

How were the repainted areas- did they match the OE finish?

Did you cover the pinstripe or polish over it (can't quite tell from the one pic)?

What did you use on the bumper rubber/etc.?

Epoch - Tell me about it! Its a VERY LARGE car lol.

Accumulator - The repainted areas were nicely done and only had the *slightest* shade difference and and orange peel difference. I polished over the pinstripes with no ill effects. I actually didnt treat the bumpers, they were in very good shape. I did treat the very lower part of the trim under the doors with Z16.

Mr ikon - I worked on the car from 9:30am to about 9pm then the next morning I finished up from 7am to 8:30am on it roughly.

Vtechfan02 - thanks!

Bigpoppa3346 - The paint was clear coat.

Magnificent work! The Bentley Brooklands has always been one of my favorite cars, especially in that color. Great job and great photography too! :)

great details! I love the documentation. Amazing work. Is that pristine clean you keep talking about the one made by Leatherique, or is it something else??
