94 Accord coupe from chalk to white again

I work with this guy and this car give the true meaning to a beater.

1994 accord coupe with 143k miles. He bought the car new in TX, I guess it was a hail damage car and was repainted, so he got a good discount. I am pretty sure it was not SS as I never had any paint transfer to any of the pads I used.

He hit a deer last year sometime so the hood, rt front fender and front end where repainted. Also as you can see the headlight assy on the right side was replaced.

Just knock off some of the oxidation and put some zaino on it he says. So I figure some ZAIO on the rotary with make quick work of this one. :grrr

Before:

Here is what I tried:

ZAIO via white LC pad/1500 x2 took some of it out.

ZPC via white LC pad/1500 x1 better.

ZPC via orange CCS pad/1500 better yet.

Presta 1500 polish via orange CCS pad/1500 got it good as the pic shows.

Then I take the p1500/orange CCS pad combo and start on a new area. Might of cut out half.

I try a green wool pad/P1500/1600 x2 on the next section and that seems like it will get it done on the side panels.

The tops are worse, trunk and roof. I end up using a yellow wool pad and 3M extra cut on those x2.

I got over the whole car with ZAIO/White LC VC pad/1500.

Looks great Bryan. I know those old Honda's are by far the worst condition paint you can work on when not properly cared for. I would have to say you brought it back to life as well and anyone could.

Awesome correction there Bryan! bet it was a pain, but from the pic's it came out great!!!............Angelo..........:usa

Thanks Brian! I would of loved to spend some more time on it, but the client did not want to pay for it.

Angelo, Once I get in the wool grove, everything is ok. Thanks!

Great job. I know what kind of hard work it is to make a Honda come back from the dead. I had the pleasure of doing two of them this year. Looks sweet.

Great turnaround! Too bad the guy doesn't care for it better, that was the best looking Accord they ever made IMO. At the very least I'd take care of that left headlight and paint the wiper arms black again.
