1993 Mustang LX 5.0 completed yesterday (Saturday). Car belong to a guy I know and he has to sell it. I knew I had my work cut out for me and we both knew close to perfection was not an option. I did everything I could in the time I had it. Some panels have been repainted and those buffed out real nice. The original paint had problems and not much I could do. The car has a LOT of nice motor, brakes, and suspension upgrades. I’m sure it will find a good home.

This was an exterior only.

Process:

Wash and Clay

EC with foamed wool pad @ 1800rpms

SIP with White polish pad @ 1800rpms

106FF with Grey finish pad @ 1500rpms

Re-Wash

Souveran

Tires with Z16

Time spent: 8 hours

Today’s detail was on a 2006 BMW 330i with less 6k on it. BUT the owner took it to a detail place and they hacked her car up. The swirls weren’t severe in quantity but certainly did not want to come out with ease. I tried SIP with orange pad @1800rpms but it didn’t snag up all the marring.

Process:

Wash and Clay

HT HC (357 Magnum) with Orange Cut Pad @ 1800rpms

Menz 106FF with Grey Finish pad @ 1800->1500rpms

Re-Wash

Souveran

Interior was a quick vacuum, wipedown, leather conditioner.

Time Spent: 6 hours

I didn’t document the work as much this time. I was on a very tight schedule to get this done in time and didn’t want to delay anything by taking too many pics.

Here is a before of the wheel (eek):

Ever consider a wide angle lens on your d40x? Yeah, I agreed with the DOF on the last 2 shots ;)

Maybe in the next few years I will upgrade my lenses. For now they will suffice.

Everyone thanks for the comments. I wish the Mustang could have came out better, but given the condition, that's what I could do with it. :)

Chris, as ususal I'm inspired by th quality of your work and photos. Thanks for taking the time to show us your work. I look forward to seeing your next posting. Did you take the photos of the Enzo with the Nikon D40 or something else? Have a great day! Clint

Great job Chris, i love hthc on bmws, surprising how well it works. can you take a video of you polishing with a rotary to see how slow we should go, and maybe techniques for the side panels?
