#9 or PPCL??

I am going to do a total clean on my car since it's storage last year. The paint is in great shape but I am always looking for the best finish. Here is what I have.

Meg #9

Mother's sealer and glaze

PPCL

Souveran

My question is really regarding the polishes. Should I use the PPCL or #9? I will then follow up with MSG then Souveran. I was going to get #7 but with all the praise on the board about the Mother's I have to give it a try. I love good stuff that's cheap and easy to find just about anywhere.

Thanks,

Joe

The #9 has a bit more bite than PPCL. I can't say which would be better for you since I can't see your car. You might want to test each product on a panel to determine results.

Well, my paint is in near showroom condition so #9 may be overkill. Maybe I'll use PPCL then the sealer will hide the remaining tiny swirls if there are any left.

Thoughts?

CRUZMISL- The PPCL is SO mild! I wouldn't expect it to REMOVE any swirls (don't think it ever did for me, but I used the older formulation), so if you have any, better use the #9 on them. The #9 is pretty mild too, I somehow don't think of it as "overkill", but then I haven't seen your car.

You may be right. Here is a pic I took from last year. Not too many swirls (if any) in this finish:) Maybe I'll try just the PPLC on a panel and see how I make out. The #9 is so mild it probably doesn't even matter anyway.

CRUZMISL- Yep, that looks good, alright! Maybe only use the #9 where you see swirls, like just on the horizontal surfaces. Once you SEE the swirls, you'll always know they're there. You're so close to perfection that I'd go ahead and do it, even considering the Mother's glaze (which might do just enough filling for the vertical panels). Either way, it's gonna be great.
