Is everyone and their mothers doing SHO's these days!?

Paint looks superb, definitely an awesome job for 19 yr old paint. That color has A LOT of depth.

BnB on the tires?

BnB on the tires.. I have to say the engine was just a little bit greasy.. used simple green, rags and soap and water. Thats it. Dressed it with a little tire foam.

hey did you by any chance have a ptg you used on that? my buddy has a 91 fox with the same paint, but we're shy to use a machine on it. car looks great btw, the nb really makes it look incredibly wet!

actually not really any oxidation so befores wouldnt be so dramatic. I posted to show how well it was preserved.

Actually, yes my friend has a ptg. He used it. It measured 3.5 to something like 3.8.

Certain SS paint is softer than CC paint. BUT when I did a 1982 280zx turbo, with white SS paint, that paint was the hardest paint I ever worked on. EVER!!!!

I understand your concern with ur buddy's 91 fox.. if you are removing paint by hand polishing, I'm sure that in order to make the paint look right, you will have to remove the same amount of paint that would have been removed with a machine, used carefully. I doubt that a PC would cause damage with mild polishes and pads..

The DWG applied by hand with a foam applicator still removed red paint!!!

i hear ya. the car has mild oxidation. we polished the car before by hand with pb's pws, and caked probably 6 terry towel pads. there's still moderate swirls and very slight oxidation. i was thinking about sip on orange and 106ff on white then topping it with...well now natty's blue; it looks like such a great lsp on that color. we topped with nxt 2.0 last time and we still got some red on the pad. 3.5 is about average so i'm more comfortable working with his paint now. again car looks great and sorry for polluting your thread with my mumbo jumbo, lol.

Brings back fond memories of our old 89 SHO. Definitely more SHO activity lately. I was just sent a link for an 89 with 40-50k on the clock that sold for 10k. The guy who sent it to me has a red 89 just like the one here with only 10k on it. :bow

Awesome looking SHO. My uncle used to have a white 91 with white rims. Always thought it was a nice car, especially for a Taurus.
