This is on my dad's 318i hood. One winter morning, my dad told my brother to clear the snow off his car. :wall My brother then accidenty took an ice scraper acrossed the hood of the car, causing very big scrapes in the paint. As for my brother punishment and my supervison, he had to take the scratches out.
the process was about 2 and half hours on monday.

polish:turtle wax polishing compound
scratch removal: nu finish scratch doctor

He didn't have time to wax it as it rained the next day.
I think my brother has learned his lesson.
