I have noticed that the paint (black) on my infinity is a lot softer than my ford product. I applied #82 on a W-9006 pad (finishing pad) and buffed it in on the 5 setting until the product is almost gone and have noticed under my fluorescent lights that I have a slight hazing. So what I am doing wrong?

Keep in mind that the X000 pads (not ending with 6) are intended for rotary buffers and the action of a rotary is somewhat different than that of a PC.

I always keep a "wet-edge" when using #82. Keep the pad and polishing surface "wet" with the product the entire time you polish. I believe #82 does not have diminishing abrasives so there is no need to polish until it is clear as it does not break down.
The 9006 or 8006 pad should not cause any hazing.
