#80

GREAT swirl remover, for light swirls....Excellent prep product also....I wouldnt expect anything removed more so than spiderwebs.....Easy to work with, easy removal and working time is great.....A definite must try product.....

Patrick-I've found it will also remove light scratches and rotary swirls. Anything past light will require DACP or stronger.

I agree, it is an excellent product.

Agreed Scott......:xyxthumbs (thank you dealers!)

I did this with #80 and an orange pad:

an orange pad? as in the propel pad line, so that would be the one with the second most cutting power?

and that is REALLY good work btw :D

Nice! But just in case, try wiping a 50/50 water/alcohol mix onto a small area where you applied #80. The fillers may have covered some up.

Thanks for all of your replys they helped alot. Do you think applying megs#9 after #80 will help remove swirl marks better.

I let a car sit 9 days with just #80 protecting it, washed it down with QEW and it still looked great.

You do make a good point, even though #80 will remove most light defects, you can't be sure they are all gone without the 50/50 mix.

Thanks for the compliments :) It was a Detailers Paradise one, so below the yellow cutting but above the white polishing pad :)

As for the 50/50 mix, I have a spray bottle and MF towel handy to use for inspecting after each panel to make sure they are all gone :xyxthumbs

How about using #82 Swirl Free Polish instead? It's description reads like there are no fillers in it and it's supposedly slightly more aggressive than #9 Swirl Remover 2.0 even though they have the same rating in Meg's aggressiveness scale. IMHO, #9 adds gloss-enhancers (fillers) to save you some time (depending on how anal you are) and let you go directly to a sealant and/or wax.

Meg's #8X series were created for cars with a clear coat. Not too sure about #9 though.

You could also do another pass w/ #80. Check out Accumulator's response to your other post.
