80 plus UPP

I am doing a friends car this weekend and he was UPP on it. My question is that he has some minor swirls/scratches, I was going to try Megs 80, if that doesnt work then 83 ot remove those swirls/scratches. Can I put AIO on top of that before I go to UPP? I know UPP wont bond to the 80 but will the AIO remove most of the work that I will be doing with the 80.

80 is speed glaze right? I thought speed glaze was an abrasive that left behind a small amount of polymer - that should not be a problem you should be able to go right to the UPP
