7428 Rotary backing plate question

I have searched for a while here now on the PC 7428 I have, have not used it yet. It came with a 7 inch backing plate included thats actually 6 inches diameter, that is hook and loop. Is this alright to use with the megs pads 8 inch, or do I need to get another one to use. Thanks

If it's a 6in hook and loop backing plate, it should work with any 8in pad. Have fun with it!
