7424 comimg tomorrow. FP II or 3M SR

I have some very light surface scratches and light swirls. Z5 virtually covers them up,but I want to get them out. I am thinking of 3M sr or FP II. I want to use something thats free of fillers. After I am going to do 2 coats Z5 then 2-3 coats Z2 pro.

Am I on the right track?

3M SMR has fillers. FP does not.

Yes that is correct. I assume that a person means the old 3M SMR if they don't specify PI 3000 SMR.

If you want to remove swirls, I think you may need a more agressive polish than FPII, try it by all means, but do not be surprised if some of the swirls need a polish with more cut.



FPII should burnish your paint up to a high gloss, I'm just not sure about it removing the swirls.
