This is one of those projects I wish never came my way.
The owner is going to show this at the upcoming Concorso; not as a frame off resto, but 'as is'. I'll be posting another thread about rust removal on the windshield hings <groan>.

The owner mentioned something about Bill Stroppe but I don't think he did the paint work which was done a number of years ago. The hood looks like this:


These defects don't appear to be caused by washing, polishing, etc. but appear to be the strangest paint failure I've ever seen. It's like the paint is cracking in arcs and chicken scratches. Not that I'm going to attempt to correct this, just hoping someone can shed some light on what's happening to the hood.
