69 Yenko Camaro Tribute-corrected and coated
This car pretty much had a wide range of defects, swirls, sanding scratches, orange peel, dieback/shrink back, buffer trails. Paint was leveled with LC thin purple foamed wool pads with M105 and Rupes MKII 15. I was really amazed how well this combo worked leveling the defects and finishing down fairly well at the same time. The paint did however require additional polishing steps to bring up the clarity. The next step the car was polished with Megs Microfiber correction compound on a microfiber polishing pads after that with HD polish on an LC black pad. Finishing was completed with Car pro Essence and Carpro gloss pads. Decals had been removed prior to correction then reapplied prior to coating. Coated was Gyeon Prime. Over all the paint was not perfect but a big improvement from what it was.

I have tried Gyeon coatings a few times now and have been very happy with the results as well as the looks of thier coatings.

Looks great.

It`s actually Yenko. Don Yenko was a speed shop owner in the sixties who customized Camaros, Chevelles and Novas. The stock motor was replaced by a high performance motor - usually a 427. The tranny, suspension and drivetrains were also upgraded.

The sYc on the hood and seats stands for Super Yenko car. Originals go for BIG money.

good catch. I did not catch that before I posted it. Of course the spelling is in large letter on the side of the car. I wonder if a moderator could correct it for me

surprised how well the purple wool leveled that orange peel. great work!

i was very surprised as well. The paint was fairly soft so I had that working in my favor. Thank you

Great work, night and day before and after! Well done!

thank you sir

Technicality... I think they called them Yenko super cars. Even though the lettering doesnt align with that. I think that is what sYc stood for.
