54 Chevy

Well here's the story the customer, or referral, regularly takes all his vehicles to a shop locally, but they've screwed up one too many times and he stopped going to them. My customer referred him to me and he wanted to see what I could do for him. After all was said and done the referral was beyond happy with the job. He even fed me with a nice lunch and a beer in the afternoon. The owner wants me to do three of his other cars and a few others of his friends already. So time well spent and gosh I tell you I love REFERRALS!

The vehicle: 54 Chevy needed some TLC. The vehicle looked dull (hard to tell based on the before pics) and when I saw it there were tons of holograms from previous work done. There was also tons of crap on the paint and I mean TONS! I spent about an hour or so just freakin claying the car away. The paint is pretty much gone, but you can't tell from far away. It's been resprayed before "MAECO" style. I've tested out a spot to see what could be done, but no major correction was able accomplished so I only took out the hologram and made the paint shine up again which met and exceeded my client's needs.

Process:

-Griot's Car Wash

-Fine Clay

-106ff LC CCS White pad all around @ PC6

-Ultima PGP

-Chrome pieces cleaned up with Griot's Chrome Polish (tested it out and works pretty well, with a little elbow grease)

-Windows done with Stoner's IG

-Tires done with Meguiar's HyperDressing
