Hey all,

I'm detailing my 50th Anniversary Corvette soon. It's got a VERY metallic paint job that truly shines after a detail in the sunlight. I plan on using Moosekote Red Glaze followed by FMJ, but I am undecided on the wax i should put on the very top. Which would you choose? Souveran Paste or Zymol Carbon. I'm looking for the most depth and gloss here. If you have another suggestion, post it up!

Thanks,

-Zach

Good grief, what kind of poll is this? You really expect this crowd to agree on a wax? That will be the day!

I just completed a job on my buddies 50th vert. I use a Cyclo, but this is what my process was....

Wash w/ONR

OP w/ orange pad

OPS w/ white pad

Nattys Blue by hand

Wheel Wax on the wheels

IG on the glass

Gave a real deep and gloss shine, really popped the flake. He was an avid Zanio user, but I may converted him.

Next time around, try victoria deep cleanse followed by victoria concours red wax. To me, the look is amazing, and the owner, David Wylie, is very nice and if you have any problems just call and he will give loads of information to help you out.

:har:

Why are you topping FMJ with a wax? FMJ has a very carnuaba appearance on its own. :nixweiss

you want the truth? you can't handle the truth.LOL. the truth is when you start a thread like this you're gonna get that many different answers to the question, and they're all the right answers. they're telling you what works best from their experience. i think if you put all the answers in a hat and picked one they'd all be good. i read them all and they all sound like they would work. i'm sure you'll make the right choice. just my .02 cents.:waxing:
