476s VS 1000P

I've seen claims that either of these waxes will last a year with one application. I am doubtful of that but I have no experience with either of them yet.

Has anyone had any experience with both of these products? How do they compare?

The Collinite has some carnauba in it and the 1000P has none. Both seem more like sealants to me than "waxes".

I recall Guru Reports getting better longevity out of Zaino than the 476s yet I frequently see mention of 476s' super human strength.

The 1000P claims a look similar to Pink Wax with better longevity and just a tad less user friendliness which would likely put application/removal on par with the 476s from what I've read.

I would think a devestating combo in the longevity dept. would be one of these waxes over a decent sealant???
 
I have both and love both. However, I couldn't reach their theoretical durability limit... because I rewax more often :D



I like the glow of the 476 (I have the 885 version; same), and also like the thick shine of the 1000P. We use to say that it's a personal choice. Well in this case it is even harder...



Killer combo: these two on top of each other.
 
Only used the 476S, which I like. It is durable, but no, nothing like a year if you actually drive the car much. Still impressive for a carnauba-based wax though. Two-three coats lasted me all winter on a car that was outside 24/7, but that was about all you could expect to get out of it.



I've put two coats on the mechanic's loaner since March; it might not've needed the second one, but being outside 24/7 during spring/pollen season seemed to be kinda tough on it. The first coat was OK after 7 weeks but it was better after the refresher.
 
I have both, however, I haven't put them them against each other ;)



However, I am conducting a minitest of 1000P versus Collinite 845 IW as wheel wax..... expect a review when I am done, but so far it has been 4 weeks and they are very close :)



Regarding the guru reports, some results seem conflicting, such as having P21S almost tie 476S in durability, or P21S beat Megs #16...... most of the autopians who have used them all would tell you that P21S doesn't stand a chance in durability against 476S or #16.....



1000P seems to be a "paste sealant" all the way.....
