4 Star UPP smell.

Wax on, Wax off
Hey someone gave me a bottle of UPP. They said they had it a few months . Anyway I happily snatched it up. Well I have never seen it before. I don't want to spend the time if I am not going to get the results people say I will get with it due to it being old.
Then again i should be happy I got a 20$ bottle for free. :w00t:

Well seeing that it is a chemical.... wouldn't you expect a different smell? Some companies add scents to their products to please the consumers but other tend not to because it messes with the chemistry of the product. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with your UPP if you use it right. But... if you don't like it, I'd gladly take it off of your hands

No, I understand that chems wil have a different odor. This was very noticeable. Very distinctive. But yeah, sweet getting it for nothing. The guy said that it was hard to get off. From reading here, it seemed to me that most say it's ease of use is it's greatest plus.

Yeah just make sure you apply it thin and remove with a microfiber and you should be all set. But I guess there is a chance where 4* messed on a few bottles with the chemicals and mixed up a poor batch thus the poor results and smell.

UPP has never smelled the best. It doesn't affect the quality of the product though. AIO smells much much much worse than UPP. Actually, I can think of a lot of products that smell worse. The bottom line is that it performs much better than it smells.

Thanks Bud. I think he probably applied it too heavily. Common issue with myself from time to time with products. Especially a new one.

Don't forget to shake shake shake the bottle especially since it hasn't been use for some time . :sorcerer:

Shake the bottle well. And don't worry about the smell -- I just UPP'ed 2 cars in the family with 2 coats each. There's NO odor at all that I can detect -- except the clean smell coming from INSIDE the cars ! :D

I just put 4 coats of UPP on my car,.....didnt really notice much of a smell. The UPP is harder to get off if its not applied thinly.

Is it worty putting something on top of UPP? Something like optimum spray wax, P21s, natty's, or something like that? Or is that not going to do anything (make the car look better/change the shine).
