Hello Guys,

I have just been emailing 4* and they have been pretty helpful saying there Ultimate line SMR with the Megs cutting pad (burgandy type) is the right combo for this product.

I was just wondering what you guys used? If anyone uses it! I have used it on my Cyclo with light cutting pads, but now i have a G220 (the Megs RO) which is new and i will gift to my friend post detail.

Any thoughts.

Thanks

Geoff

PS. I know 4* have there own line of pads but i cannot seem to get them in the UK.

I beg to differ. The Megs Burgundy pad is a cutting pad. We're talking Ultimate line SMR ? The Ultimate line SMR is a very light polish. I would not expect either the pad or product to compliment each other. When picking pad and product, try to have your pad support the product. I think the burgundy pad is a little "over" supportive IMO. I would go with either a Orange or white LC/Sonus polishing pad.

Hello Patrick, i thought the same thing. I will give it a try as per the advice of 4*, i wonder if anyone else has tried.

I have been told: Believe it or not, a hard foam pad will work better than a soft pad due to the abrasive in my product. I recommend our orange pad which is called The Eliminator 6.0. As for as the Megs pad, I recommend the red/burgundy color pad which is part number W-7006 cutting pad. It seems to give good results. Set the dual action to 4 or 5. Please only use two small dime size drops (do not put in the center of the pad) per each 2 foot by 2 foot area and work slowly back and forth until the product turns clear and no white is left.

I will give it a try, if not bust out something to remove the haze!

The Orange and white are fairly stiff foams. And your right to an extent with using a harder foam. However the Red Megs pad is going to cut, more then the SMR is going to polish. Soft pads will tend to absorb the abrasives while polishing and not allow them to abrade. I would still opt for a lighter cutting pad yet firm pad, to start with.
