Can't find them anywhere? Can anyone pm me a link or shoot some responses of what you use on your 4" spot pads, i always revert to my 3" because of my backing plates. i dont like over hand, i'm usually using a 4" spot pad to cover a smaller curvy area ex around the sun roof and its hard to get close to the rubber edging with 1/2" over hang on the 4" pads..............best i seen is LC 3 3/4" plates.

I'm new to all of this but I use a 5" and 3.5" plate. With my PC the 3.5" plate with 4" pads is a good combination for me when it comes to spot cleaning. If I'm working a larger area I use the 5" plate with 5.5" pads.
Guess I really didn't anwer your question but I have not seen 4" plates at any of the sites I visit.

The Flexible Backing Plate LC-43-085DA measures 3.5 Inches in Diameter and is perfect for our 4" Spot Buff Pads.
The backing plate is smaller than the pads to allow a generous lip of foam to protect the paint surface. Even if you turn the pad onto its side accidentally, there is an inch of soft, beveled urethane between the edge of the plate and the inner construction. The backing plate fits any polisher that accepts a 5/16” thread.

choice of BP on 4" pads hehe
Like i had mentioned closed i could find was 3 3/4" so i picked one up, better then my 3.5 i'll be happy with that for now. I;ve been doing just fine, just prefer a much tighter fitting pad for my style, also i forgot to mention its for rotary.

Many trim the edge of a backing plate on a lathe to the diameter they're looking for. Now, I don't suggest that you try to trim an 8 inch backing plate to fit a 5" pad but trimming a 5" down to 4" should be doable....
