3M Ultrashield

Has anyone applied/used 3M ultrashield? It's basically a transparent film, used to protect your front bumper, hood, side mirrors, etc... 3M has templates, custom fit for many cars.

For those who have tried it....I have a few questions.

-Ballpark price?
-Durability?
-Can you wax/polish/seal it? (Assume that over time, your going to get scratches in the film).
-Can you run a polisher over it (something like a PC or Cyclo). Common sense tells me a rotary is out of the question.
-Where do you find it? Local body shops?

I'll start with that I have not used it but did some reach on it for a customer, I also went to a local place that installs to have a look at it.

What I found is its a thin plastic flim that goes over about all the areas that would get hit by something while the car is moving forward. bumpers, grills, side mirrors, rocker panels, etc.
On light colored cars you would be hard pressed to see it I saw it on a gun metal gray car from a distance you cod not tell up close you could. This car had a light coat of dust on it and on the hood you could see where it stopped, of which was a draw back for me.
On car care I was told you could do anything except light or heavy cut swrill removers as they will scratch the surface of the plastic. I would use AIO on it and finish up with a sealant or wax.
The ball park price for a honda SUV I can't remember the name, was $275.00 installed. As for the durability this guy had it on a track car and it looked great to me I did nto ask any further questions on it. where to get it I found it on line at a number of web sites

This site has a map of the US and you can look up local places for installing it
I hope this helps !
