3M Refresh has alcohol!

I posted a similar post on another thread but thought this forum was more appropriate and might get some more replies. I also did some searches on leather & vinyl care and alcohol.

I got some of this 3M Refresh Vinyl & Leather Protectant with Cleaner. I am hesitant to use it because of the ingredients listed on the back:

1-methoxy-2-propanol, Isopropyl alcohol, Solvent Naphtha (Petroleum), 2-ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3, 3-diphenylacrylate.

So the question is are alcohol and petroleum harmful to vinyl and/or leather?? I know about 303, which was brought up last time someone asked this question. I own some 303 Protectant and I love it... no question there.

Basically I don't want any other product suggestions, I just want to know if this product would be harmful. I am also going to email 3M and see what they say.

Thanks.

Here's the answer I got back from 3M:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Refresh Vinyl and Leather Cleaner

and Protector. We appreciate hearing from you.

Your concern was related to the " various alcohols and petroleum

distillates" contained in the product. These items were placed in the

formula to remove dirt, grime, and general surface contaminates.

The minimal amount of these items in the product flash off quite rapidly.

The remainder of the product is designed to soften and preserve the cleaned

leather.

Your interest in and use of 3M product is appreciated.

Guess it's not so bad after all. I'd really like to get some info from the detailing pros though. Is alcohol harmful to leather and vinyl??
